Educational Objective: Gathering knowledge about misuse of ICT, and possibilities of revealing, proving and sanctioning of such misusage of ICT, and its perpetrators by using most soficient methods and tools.

Projected Outcome: Getting specific knowledge in area of ICT which gives students efficient engagement in combatting cyber crime and its perpetrators.

Course Contents/Structure

Theoretical education: Safety and secyrity of networks. Malicious software in computer networks. Basic tools for detection of attacs on the network and forensic tools. Saving (and salvage) of data. Internet specifics as crime scene, relicts of a crime, rules for law enforcement officers engaged in the crime solving. Special phenomenology of cybercrime. Legal aspects of Cybercrime.

Practical training: presentation and case analysis of implementation of past cases in cybercrimme division HTCU and different aspects of the crime covering – forensics and operative.

Teaching Methods: lecture, modified lecture, presentation.
