Student Enrolment
Student enrolment is carried out by careful selection of candidates according to the determined rules and procedure prescribed by the Articles of Association and the Rulebook on Enrolment and Undergraduate Studies of the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies. The decision on the number of students for enrolment into the first year of curriculums financed from the budget is passed by the Government on the proposition of the Ministry of the Interior. The decision on the number of the self-financed students for the enrolment into the first year of curriculums is passed by the Council of the University, with a previous consent of the Ministry. Students are accepted into the first year of undergraduate studies at the University based on the Call announced by the University in accordance with the conditions determined by the Articles of Association of the University. The Enrolment Commission, appointed by the rector of the University, carries out the Call for Enrolment, determines and announces the order of the accepted candidates.
The right to enter the Call have the citizens of the Republic of Serbia, and on rare occasions the citizens of other countries with the consent of the Ministry of the Interior which fulfil: the conditions for the enrolment determined by the Law on Higher Education, special law stipulated safety conditions for the acceptance into labour relations into the Ministry of the Interior and special conditions in terms of health, psychophysical and other abilities for performing stipulated work, further determined by the minister of the interior. The Call for Enrolment is announced no later than five months before the beginning of school year and contains the number of students for specific curriculums, enrolment conditions, criteria for determining the order of candidates, the procedure for carrying out the call, ways and deadlines for submitting a complaint to the determined order, as well as tuitionfee for the self-financed students. The basis for determining the order of candidates for the enrolment to undergraduate studies is the general GPA in high school and the results at the exam for checking tendencies and abilities. GPA in high school is expressed on a scale from 16 to 40 and represents a doubled sum of GPA in the first, second, third and fourth school year. The selection of candidates is performed based on health and psychological check-up, morphological status and tendencies and abilities test. The results of the tendencies and abilities test are expressed on a scale from 0 to 60: basic motoric status test 20 points, general knowledge test 20 points and Serbian language and literature test 20 points. Based on the criteria from the call, the University drafts a ranking list of the applicants. The place of the candidates on the ranking list is determined based on the sum of the points of the mentioned addends. The candidates eligible to the undergraduate studies are the ones which are placed on the ranking list within the number of students for the enrolment.
