Educational Objective: Interlinking theoretical knowledge gained in University of Criminal Investigation and Police studies with police officer practical actions, i.e. extending the existing theoretical knowledge and acquiring new practical knowledge and skills necessary for performing regular and emergency police business. Also, the aim is to enable students to thoroughly and comprehensively learn and master the specific curriculum content within the framework of special professional courses in order to prepare as well as possible for work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republic Serbia.

Projected Outcome: After the realization of the Professional Organizational Methodic Criminalistic Forensic Practice the students will: learn the organization, competence, jobs, conditions and modes of the Police Administration functioning; be familiar with relevant regulations, operational, work and other records, files, cases, planning, reporting and other management acts; they will know how to write official documents that are made during the work in the police administration (official notes, minutes, reports, applications, requests); they will be able to plan, prepare and perform concrete activities in preventing, detecting, illuminating and proving criminal offenses (operational control and operational processing); they will develop the abilities, determination, and affinity to accept and sustain the specific regime and methods of police unit work, learn to respect human rights and codes of professional ethics.

Professional Practice Contents: For the students of the police elective group: organization, tasks and ways of doing police work in the security sector at a police station; planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work in the sector; sector dossier; sectoral work plan; making - issuing reports, certificates, official records and other documents; apprehending and detaining persons; organization and competence of PS; monitoring security and other issues on the precinct; reviewing and monitoring the activities of police officers; official records; special actions; use of coercive means; public meetings; official escort of the transport of dangerous goods, weapons, money, valuable papers, precious metals, and other valuables, pieces of art and other objects and goods of importance to the Republic; disciplinary, material, criminal and misdemeanor responsibility of police officers; organization and competence of PS; security situation in the PS area; discipline responsibility..

For students of the criminalistic electoral group: SUPPRESSING CRIMES AGAINST PROPERTY - Prevention and detection of criminal offenses, finding and apprehending perpetrators and committing them to the authorities; SUPPRESSING CORPORATE CRIME - New forms of corporate crime in different areas; SUPPRESSING BLOOD AND SEXUAL CRIMINAL OFFENCES - Forms of criminal offenses; SUPPRESSING DRUG TRAFFICKING AND SMUGGLING - organization and jurisdiction: - Forms of criminal offenses; Characteristics of the proving process; The tactics of conducting an informative hearing; SUPPRESSING JUVENILE DELINQUENCY - Criminal offenses committed by minors; EXAMINING FIRES, EXPLOSIONS AND INDUSTRIAL DISASTERS - organization and jurisdiction: - internal organization; - jurisdiction; Characteristics of the prooving process; SEARCH ACTIVITY - organization and and jurisdiction: - internal organization; - jurisdiction; The procedure for issuing an APB, official public announcement and search warrant; INVESTIGATIVE OPERATING BUSINESS - Securing the crime scene; Collecting information at the crime scene; Making investigative documentation; OPERATIONAL CRIMINALISTIC TECHNIQUE - Organization and operations of criminalistic technique at the level of police administration; NATIONAL CRIMINALISTIC-TECHNICAL - DNA laboratory; voice recognition laboratory; ballistic, physicochemical laboratory; polygraph.

For students of the Security Elective Group: organization and authority of the Emergency Situations Sector; organization and authority of the Directorate for Preventive Protection; Organization and authority of the Administration for Firefighting and Rescue Units; organization and authority of the Risk Management Administration; organization and jurisdiction of the Civil Protection Administration; organization and authority of the Republic Water Directorate and Serbia Waters in the protection from the harmful effects of waters; organization and authority of the City Emergency Medical Assistance Office (GZHMP); Organization and authority of the Hydro Meteorological Institute of RS (HMZ); Organization of work and activities of the Seismological Institute of RS (RSZ).

Teaching Methods: Frontal form of work, demonstrations, practical activities and skills exercising, the realization of case studies, group work, on-call duty at the school police station.
