Prerequisite/s: None

Educational Objective: Introducing students with modern fundamental biophysical directions, which enabled broad implementation, from genetic to biomedical and ecological engineering.

Projected Outcome: Upon completion of this course, students should be able to understand the biophysical processes more deeply and be more aware of biophysical problems.

Course Contents/Structure

Theoretical education: Introduction. Physics of information biopolymers. Imbalanced thermodynamics of biological systems. Biophysics of the membrane and the nerve impulse. Biomechanical processes. Biomaterials. Complex bioelectric activities. Biological neural networks and cognitive and psychosomatic implications. Interactions of the organism and the environment. Dobiological evolution, phylogenesis and ontogenesis.

Practical training: Characterization of biopolymers: molecular weight, microscopy, spectroscopy, electroencephalography, electrocardiography, deoxyribonucleic acid analysis, demonstration exercises in other centers and laboratories.

Teaching Methods: lecture, exercize, demonstration exercises, seminars.
