Educational Objective: The course aims to acquaint students with certain specialized fields of criminalistics and police security theory and practice.

Projected Outcome: Acquiring the Diploma of academic studies second-degree criminalist graduate. Application of acquired knowledge in the specialized field of criminalistics and police security jobs.

General Content: Specialist thesis represents the student's research work in which he gets acquainted with research methodology in the field of criminalistics and police security sciences. Upon completing the research, the student prepares a specialist thesis in the prescribed form which must contain the following parts: Introduction, Theoretical section, Experimental section, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, Literature. In the course of preparing the Specialist thesis, the student with the mentor's consent conducts both theoretical and experimental research. Applying adequate methods and procedures and using information technology, the student systemizes, processes and explains obtained results and suggests new possibilities or methods with the aim of improving or solving relevant problems. After submitting it, the student gives oral defence of the thesis.

Performance Methods: Analysis of scientific and specialized literature, legal regulations, technical standards in the field of criminalsitics and police security sciences; identifying legal vacuum in the standards and procedures for application of advanced criminalistics and police security methods; comparative analysis of foreign criminal police practice and modelling of more efficient solutions for domestic criminal police practice; survey (questionnaire and interview) among the security sector employees and other respondents possessing relevant knowledge and experience in the criminalistics and police security field of work; presentation.
