Educational Objective: Introduction to the basic concepts related to the structure and components of information systems, related issues for their infrastructure and application as well as the methodologies and techniques used in their design. |

Projected Outcome: A systemic approach to the application of information technologies in order to increase the efficiency of complex systems was developed and adopted, such as business systems. Students are trained to participate in information processes as their users or members of the project team. |

Course Contents/Structure Theoretical education: Modern approaches to information systems. Basic concepts of information systems (ICT as technological basis of information systems, Organizational aspect, Technological aspect). Methods of analysis and design information systems. IS Planning Phase. Feasibility analysis and system solution proposal. Analysis phase: determination of IS requirements (interviews, group interactions, documentation analysis). Process modeling phase. Design phase (designing databases, forms, reports, interfaces and dialogs). Implementation and maintenance phases. Field of application information systems (DMS - information management and document management system, CMS - information systems for content management, DSS - decision support information systems, knowledge management systems and etc. Practical training: Follow the contents of the theoretical lessons. |
