Educational Objective: Getting to know the essential link between hardware and computer software, as well as the concepts of computer architecture and the basic functional parts of the operating system.

Projected Outcome: Acquiring the necessary basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of architecture and computer organization, as well as understanding basic concepts of operating systems.

Course Contents/Structure

Theoretical education: Introduction to architecture and organization of computers, processor and memory, Execution and types of instructions, Addressing modes, format instructions, interrupts, program execution management, Pentium processors, microprogram level, introduction to operating systems, process management, memory management, processor allocation, complete failure, management data, data protection.

Practical training: Follows the theoretical part.

Teaching Methods: lectures, exercises, colloquiums, consultations, seminary papers, examination (written and theoretical).
