Educational Objective: The objective of the course is to educate and train students for collecting, modifying, archiving, programming, synchronization and presentation of multimedia data flows. The student is trained for self-creation multimedia content.

Projected Outcome: The student is being trained in the development and implementation of multimedia systems. After finishing the subject, a student acquires integrated theoretical and applied knowledge in the creation of contemporary multimedia content, such as presentations, interactive animations and movies.

Course Contents/Structure

Theoretical education: Basic terms. Authoring tools for creating multimedia content. Multimedia hardware and software. Memory and storage devices. Input devices, output hardware. Communication devices. Basic software tools. Multimedia elements: digital text, hypertext, hypermedia (text, hypertext, navigators, languages for hypertext printing, visualization, tags). Multimedia graphics. OCR software. Tools for animation, video and processing sound. Connecting multimedia objects. Presentation tools. Building blocks of multimedia. Text. Sound. Pictures. Animation. Video. Project planning and presentation methods, delivery of multimedia projects.

Practical training: Practical realization of the selected task and publication of the achieved results. Fundamentals, terms and conventions related to the production of multimedia presentations. Creating a Web multimedia presentation and application of standards and syntax of HTML and CSS.

Teaching Methods: lecture, modified lecture, presentation, simulation, study research work.
