Educational Objective: Acquiring practically applicable knowledge necessary for lawful and effectivecrime prevention.

Projected Outcome: Ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate police activities in crime prevention.

Course Contents/Structure

Theoretical education: Concept and principles of crime prevention; Legal framework for crime prevention in the Republic of Serbia; Assumptions for successfull crime prevention; Crime analysis and criminal-intelligence activity in function of prevention; Planning and programming of crime prevention; Entities of the crime prevention system; Place and role of the police in the prevention of crime; Police strategies for crime prevention;

Practical training: Analyzes of selected types of criminal offenses and crime prevention programs.

Teaching Methods: lectures, exercises, presentations, case studies.
